Novel is truly the best vet out there. I can’t recommend them enough. Every single visit reminds us that their top priority is our pets and making sure they receive the best possible care at a fair, honest price. They’re open 8am–8pm, 365 days a year, which has been such a comfort for our family. They even took us in last minute on Christmas Day and gave our fur baby the absolute best care, something we’ll always be grateful for. The clinic itself is beautiful and comforting, and the entire team is incredibly kind. During especially hard moments, they go above and beyond to make sure both our pets and us feel safe, supported, and cared for. What really sets them apart is that the care doesn’t stop when you walk out the door, they always follow up and check in afterward. We never feel like we’re asking too many questions or being “too much,” because they truly care and make that so clear. I 100% recommend Novel to anyone looking for a vet who treats your pets like family and provides compassionate, affordable care.

We recently visited Novel Vet and had a fantastic experience. Despite being very busy, they were able to fit us in at a time that worked for us, which we truly appreciated. The staff were friendly, welcoming, and very helpful, and they even followed up with us the next day. Dr. Gibbs was excellent — warm, calm, and highly professional. She took the time to explain everything clearly and made the visit feel unrushed and reassuring. The multi-pet membership is wonderful. Free exam fees, discounted products and services, and the fact that they’re open 365 days a year from 8am–8pm is incredible. It offers real peace of mind. Great service whenever you need it, at a great price. We’re so grateful to have found this place and honestly wish more veterinary clinics operated this way.

We recently switched to Novel as my little frenchie was squinting her eye. I was able to get a same day appointment, was welcomed warmly and brought to an exam room. The room was warm, had a window by the door so my pup could watch people go back and forth, and not a cold metal table in sight. The staff were incredible. Spoke to my pup the same way I do, snuggled her and took their time examining her. They explained everything to me as they were doing it and I was comforted by knowing what to expect. They dispatched their tests quickly, efficiently and had a treatment plan in place. They had to draw blood from her to make a serum for her eyes, but her blood did not produce enough serum, so they engaged their own sweet pet to help make serum for her. I have never experienced such care and didn't even know that was a possibility. That they would bring in their own pets to help my girl, is touching in a way I cannot express. They have gained a lifelong client and I would encourage anyone and everyone to bring their babies to Novel. I'm so incredibly impressed with their space, the staff and their pricing. Most importantly though, is the way they spoke to and cared for my girl.

I can’t say enough good things about this veterinary clinic. From the moment we walked in, the environment was calm and welcoming, and the staff were incredibly friendly. While we waited for our appointment, they even offered me coffee and water, which was such a thoughtful touch. I was also pleasantly surprised to see a digital sign welcoming our dog, it really made us feel cared for.The team was extremely accommodating. They knew I was driving in from Etobicoke and originally had two appointments booked on consecutive days. They went out of their way to condense everything into one visit and even managed to sneak my dog in for his X-ray, which I truly appreciated.On top of all that, their prices are the best I’ve seen, and what really stands out is how much they listen. They take the time to understand your concerns and genuinely try to resolve issues without jumping straight to expensive solutions unless absolutely necessary.Highly recommend this vet! Compassionate, professional, and truly focused on the well-being of both pets and their owners.

Love this place! We had a bit of an urgent situation with our shihpoo puppy and they were able to get us in last minute and took such great care of her. The prices are good compared to most vets but the fact that they offer memberships to offer lower costs and free exams is fantastic. They also do payment plans and as a family with one income (I’m a stay at home mom) it’s reassuring to know we don’t need to stress about the financial part of taking our girl. Really happy we went with the membership and feel great making Novel our new spot. On top of it all, the place is stunning and they offer coffee, I’ll say it again, THEY OFFER COFFEE haha.

Brought our cat here for an emergency visit after another vet hospital recommended it to us. From the initial phone call to when we left, the service was impeccable. Jacqueline, Natalie, and Dr Gibbs provided frequent updates, kept checking in on us and offering us water/drinks. Unfortunately, our sweet girl didn't make it but the team was determined to help her until the end. I felt no rush to leave even though the clinic had closed. Although it was sad outcome, the vet experience was amazing. I will be returning for vet needs for my other pets. I also loved TV with my pets name!

They took the time to explain everything clearly and made sure my dogs were calm and comfortable throughout the visit. The clinic is clean, organized, and has a very welcoming atmosphere. Our experience with Novel and their team has been exceptional since we joined a few weeks ago! We have been very impressed with the staff ~ Carley, Vet Nurse who met Lulu and shared her medical history with Dr Gibbs who then spent a half hour phone call appointment discussing our pup Lulu’s kidney injury (as a result from a different vet clinic) and how to help her live her best life. The rest of the staff have been very friendly and welcoming to us!! So glad Lulu is a member. Thank you Novel Vet for taking such an innovative approach to animal care.

My dog was treated over two days at Novel. On the 2nd day Dr Brendon Laing (co-owner) was extremely professional and methodical in his assessment of Stella (dog). I would wholeheartedly recommend this establishment. The receptionist was happy friendly and helpful. The pricing was transparent with a set fee for visits.

Took the pup to Novel Vet for an exam that required sedation, and I can honestly say the staff are excellent — kind, compassionate, and endlessly patient. They treated Henry with so much care. From start to finish, the entire team combined professionalism with genuine warmth. It’s rare to find a clinic where you feel like both you and your pet are in the best possible hands, but Novel Vet is precisely that.If you’re looking for a team that leads with compassion and treats your four-legged family like their own, this is the place.

I cannot recommend Novel Vet highly enough! I was referred by Best Cats and I’m so grateful I found them. When my sweet boy Apollo started having urinary issues on a Sunday, I was worried I’d have to wait until Monday or go to an emergency clinic. Novel Vet was able to get us in for a last-minute appointment the same day. From the moment we walked in, we were treated like family. They even had a personalized welcome sign for Apollo on their screen (see photo!) which immediately put us at ease and showed how much they care about their patients. The staff was incredibly kind, patient, and made both Apollo and me feel so comfortable during what was a stressful situation.Not only did they thoroughly address Apollo’s urinary issue and provide effective treatment, but they also took the time to give us helpful suggestions for managing his nervousness during future visits. They clearly understand that every pet has unique needs and took a holistic approach to his care.We became clients on the spot! Novel Vet is now our new vet, and I’ll be bringing in our other fur baby, 13, as well as our new kittens Leo and Storm. My dog Ceilidh, who has a heart condition and is 10.5 yo, had to have emergency surgery on her mouth. As a result of her condition she is very high risk for anaesthetic. Dr Diana Gibbs came in and reviewed what was wrong and what needed to be done, however they needed to get her holter monitor report which the VCA vet I went to before did not send over with her records. Hailee at Novel went above and beyond to track this report down. Once Dr Gibbs had the report she sent me a detailed email in follow-up to our conversation for the plan.Natalee did the intake and was so kind and so thorough. Her surgery was delayed by a few hours due to other emergencies. Dr Gibbs wanted to ensure that she Lauren the nurse and Natalee were completely focused on Ceilidh during surgery should something catastrophic happen. How dedicated and top notch Dr Gibbs is. Natalee knew I was stressed and in spite of having several emergencies come in and them being incredibly busy she took the time to call me and update me, even sending me a picture of my sweet girl. Thankfully my pup came through the surgery and is doing great.I have had dogs all my life and had many vets. The personalized service from everyone at Novel is beyond outstanding. It reminds me of the days when the vet owned his clinic unlike these mass owned VCA clinics where its just an assembly line ( not to malign the staff, they are just doing what corporateVCA dictates how to treat clients). My dog’s health is the most important to me however the rates/costs that Novel charges are so reasonable as well. I can’t recommend this clinic highly enough! And finally huge shout out to Dr Gibbs, Lauren and Natalee.

Excellent vets and staff. I've brought both of my cats here, and have only had good experiences. My kitten, Kismet, recently ate something he shouldn't have (a tiny rubber hand) which resulted in a bowel obstruction. He was seen within an hour of calling in the evening on New Year's Eve, and had surgery on New Year's Day. He was also seen immediately the next day after he presented with a very minor surgical complication. Everyone at the clinic has been genuine, knowledgeable, friendly, and caring. I'm really happy to have found this clinic. They're doing great work.

I am incredibly grateful for the care and compassion shown by the team at Novel Vet. My soul dog Lucy, an 11yr old, 130lb Mastiff, was treated with such patience, kindness, and genuine empathy during a moment when I was truly terrified and vulnerable. For the first time in many years, I felt reassured, supported, and able to trust again. Nothing felt rushed or transactional. Every interaction was thoughtful, calm, and deeply human. It was clear that this team leads with integrity and truly cares, not just about the animals they treat, but about the people who love them. I will always be grateful for how they showed up for Lucy and for me. If you’re looking for a veterinary clinic you can trust with your heart, I cannot recommend Novel Vet enough.

We recently switched to Novel vet and we have had such a wonderful experience so far! We brought our pup Millie in for an ultrasound. Usually she is very timid and nervous at the vet, but at Novel, she seemed to open up and be herself! It says a lot about the staff at the clinic who are incredibly gentle, compassionate, and reassuring. You can tell they truly care about the animals they treat. Highly recommend!

I cannot recommend Novel Vet in downtown Burlington highly enough. I have a complicated rescue cat with one eye, a history of dental disease, and the usual wear and tear that comes from time as an NYC street cat. I've lived in a few different places and have seen a number of veterinarians over the years, and Novel was a stand-out experience. The team was exceptionally caring, compassionate, and knowledgeable. They took the time to truly listen, ask thoughtful questions, explain options clearly, and treat us as valued clients, not just another appointment on the schedule. Unlike some previous experiences, I never felt rushed, talked down to, or pressured into unnecessary treatments. Novel is truly set apart by both their high-quality levels of service and care, and their transparent and fair pricing is only the icing on the cake. The value is unbeatable, especially given the level of attention and expertise they provide. There were zero surprises when the appointment was over and it was time to pay. It's rare to find a practice that prioritizes both excellent medicine and cost-sensitivity. I also think it is significant to shout-out that Novel Vet is independently owned and operated, especially at a time when so many veterinary practices in the area have been bought up by private equity. There is a noticeable difference. The care here is personal, thoughtful, and client-centered. Never driven by quotas or corporate metrics. If you're looking for a trusted veterinarian in Burlington - even if your situation is complicated - Novel is absolutely worth your trust. I am moving out of Burlington, but will be continuing my vet care here. The drive is well worth it.

Took my german shepherd Twilight here for the first time and it was such a great experience. My dog is reactive and the staff did everything to make us feel welcomed and they were very understanding. Twilight absolutely loved everyone there and i’m happy to find a vet that I could trust. I know every time I come here, she’s getting taken care of very well.

Had my first visit to Novel this past weekend. My dog had a very bad urinary tract infection and I realized this on a Saturday morning. Unfortunately my local vet clinic that I regularly use is closed both Saturday and Sundays.. I knew I could not leave him to suffer all weekend so I called Novel and they squeezed me in the very next day! My experience was incredible at Novel.. starting with the kindest and friendliest staff member at the front desk to greet me named Haylee (she even asked if I would like water or a coffee!) and continued with the most knowledgeable Veterinarian Technician Mandy who explained everything to me in a way I was able to understand! She educated me on all the possible outcomes and was very patient while running through all the options. I loved all the staff there so much that I am now switching both of my dogs to Novel for ongoing care (and I live an hour and a half drive away - but they are seriously worth the drive!!). I can’t wait to receive ongoing care with Novel! Highly recommend this clinic to anyone! The prices are also VERY reasonable as they offer becoming a member which is very affordable and makes it so you never have to pay an examination charge again and also receive discounts on treatment and vaccines! They also texted me the very next day to check in on my dog and to see if there was anything else I needed which I greatly appreciated!

I just joined Novel Vet in Burlington and had an awesome first visit. The staff was incredibly welcoming and knowledgeable, and they took the time to explain everything clearly. The membership option is a great financial choice for people who need frequent vet visits, which I really appreciated. The clinic itself is very clean, modern, and welcoming. You can tell they genuinely care about both pets and their owners and they have some cute little touches that I loved! I’m so glad I decided to switch and feel confident bringing my pet here going forward!

The staff took the time to answer my questions and concerns. They followed up via email to check on her after the appointments. Novel is open 8 am to 8 pm 7 days a week. Accommodating when your pets are sick and need to be seen. The office is very comforting and spacious while you wait. The staff make you feel at ease. They offer water or coffee while you wait. There are private rooms where you and your pet are first seen by the care team. The area where care is provided is glassed in so you can see your pet. Monthly pet plans are very reasonable( I joined), discounts are available on services provided. I highly recommend Novel for pet care. Thank you again.

After calling multiple clinics across Burlington and Oakville, Novel Vet was the only one willing to take her in right away and we are so grateful they did.Even before we arrived/starting with the phone call to see if they’d be able to see us same day as a “non-patient”, the team was incredibly compassionate and understanding. They showed true empathy, were thorough in their assessment, and made sure we understood every step of the process. We really appreciated the full transparency around pricing, medications, and treatment options - there were no surprises, just honest and clear communication.They even followed up the next day to check in, and had a vet available to speak with us over the phone a few days later as well, which was such a reassuring touch. It’s clear that everyone there genuinely cares about both their patients and the people who love them.We were so impressed by the experience that we’ve now moved all three of our dogs over to Novel Vet for their ongoing care.
