Client Care Coordinator

ABOUT NOVEL

Novel believes that the world would be a better place if all pets were cared for, unconditionally. In order to accomplish this, veterinary medicine needs to be made more accessible for all.

Novel is creating a new standard of accessible veterinary medicine through our technician-led approach. This proprietary (indeed, novel) way of operating allows us to increase our veterinary output without compromising on the quality of medicine or appointment duration. Our operators are all owners, creating an aligned long-term interest between corporate and patient interest.

We are committed to being with the pet owner throughout every chapter of their pet health story, and we appreciate your interest in learning more about how we accomplish this effectively and accessibly.

PRACTICING TEAM-BASED MEDICINE

Novel believes that veterinary medicine is ready to redistribute delivery of care in order to improve efficiency and accessibility. At Novel, RVTs operate all wellness and minor illness concerns. They are trained to assess the patient, facilitate a proposed treatment plan, and transfer the patient to the treatment area for the DVM to modify or confirm the RVT evaluation. The client is able to watch as the patient is transferred and assessed by the veterinarian through floor-to-ceiling windows, however the RVT is managing the entirety of the client relationship.

We believe that fully leveraging the talent of RVTs is the key to unlocking more value in veterinary medicine. This allows us to offer radical pricing (i.e.: no exam fees), creating more accessible veterinary medicine for everyone.  It also facilitates the ability for the veterinarian to focus solely on what veterinarians were trained to do.

ABOUT THE CLIENT CARE COORDINATOR ROLE

Novel opened the  doors to our inaugural location, located at 561 Brant Street, on April 11, 2025. Our Client Care Coordinator (CCC), in partnership with the entire team, plays a pivotal role, not only in launching the clinic but launching the brand.

As the first impression of Novel, our CCC embodies superior client-facing communication skills, both in-person and over the phone. They conduct themselves with incredible professionalism and competence, and are empathetic to the unique complexities pet owners face when determining the extent to which they can provide care for their pet at any given time. Most importantly, the CCC takes pride in developing personal relationships with Novel’s members and patients.

The CCC supports Novel’s proprietary team based approach to medicine, and

embodies a collaborative, communicative approach and spirit and a willingness to go above and beyond.

Finally, the CCC contributes to the establishment of corporate culture. They are excited by the prospect of building a brand - not just a clinic - and have a flexible, willing approach to their professional contributions. They are possibly interested in supporting the growth of the business, including policy and protocol development, training of staff, strategic planning initiatives, and more.

Novel on Brant has become an exceptionally busy practice, seeing between 30-40 appointments per day and growing 20% month over month. The ability to work efficiently, handle competing priorities, and exceptional attention to detail are absolutely required. We believe that a minimum of five years of working experience is therefore needed, but don’t hesitate to reach out if you’re a superstar!
